DEFENCE FORCE (PAPUA NEW GUINEA) RETIREMENT BENEFITS ACT 1973 No. 86 of 1973 - SECT 53

Division 4-General Provisions
53. (1) Where a contributor ceases to be a member and is not entitled to a
pension or to a benefit under sub-section 41 (5), he is entitled to a refund
of the amount of his contributions.

(2) Where a contributor, other than a permanent officer, ceases to be a member
before completing the commission or engagement under which he was serving
immediately before he ceased to be a member and is entitled to a pension by
virtue of section 42, he is entitled to a refund of the amount of any
contributions paid in respect of the period served under the uncompleted
commission or engagement.
