Director of Public Prosecutions Act 1983 No. 113 of 1983 - SECT 13

13. Where the Director-

   (a)  is considering instituting, taking over or carrying on, or has
        instituted or taken over, or is carrying on, a prosecution for an
        offence against a law of the Commonwealth; and

   (b)  is of the opinion that a matter connected with, or arising out of, the
        offence requires further investigation,
the Director may, by instrument in writing, request the Commissioner of Police
of the Australian Federal Police for the assistance of members of the
Australian Federal Police in the investigation of that matter, and where the
Director so requests, the Commissioner shall, so far as practicable, comply
with the request.
