FAMILY COURT OF AUSTRALIA (ADDITIONAL JURISDICTION AND EXERCISE OF POWERS) ACT 1988 No. 8 of 1988 - SECT 30

30. Section 97 of the Principal Act is amended:

   (a)  by omitting from subsection (1) "subsection (2)" and substituting
        "subsections (1A) and (2),";

   (b)  by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection:

"(1A) The regulations and the Rules of Court may authorise proceedings to be
heard by a Judge or magistrate sitting in Chambers."; and

   (c)  by omitting subsection (4).
