FISHING INDUSTRY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACT 1987 No. 174 of 1987 - SECT 8

8. (1) The Council consists of the following members:

   (a)  the Chairperson;

   (b)  the government member; and

   (c)  such number of other members (not fewer than 3 or more than 7) as the
        Minister determines in writing.

(2) The Minister shall not make a determination under paragraph (1) (c) unless
the Minister has consulted with the Australian Fisheries Council and the
National Fishing Industry Council.

(3) The performance of the functions, and the exercise of the powers, of the
Council are not affected by reason only of vacancies in the membership of the
Council.
