FAMILY LAW AMENDMENT ACT 1991 No. 37 of 1991 - SECT 16

16. Section 101 of the Principal Act is amended:
(a) by inserting ", abusive" after "insulting";

   (b)  by adding at the end the following subsection:

"(2) The court must forbid an examination of a witness that it regards as
oppressive, repetitive or hectoring, or excuse a witness from answering
questions asked during such an examination, unless the court is satisfied that
it is essential in the interests of justice for the examination to continue or
for the questions to be answered.".
