- (1)
- A person is guilty of an offence if:
- (a)
- the person engages in conduct; and
- (b)
- the person knows that, or is reckless as to whether, the conduct will
result in the cloning of a whole human being.
Maximum penalty: 2,000 penalty units or imprisonment for 10 years.

- In this section:
"cloning of a" whole human being means the use of technology for the purpose
of producing, from one original, a duplicate or descendant that is, or
duplicates or descendants that are, genetically identical to the original.
