Health Acts Amendment Act 1981 No. 118 of 1981 - SECT 51

51. Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from sub-section
(1) the definition of ''referring medical practitioner'' and substituting the
following definition:

'' 'referring medical or dental practitioner', in relation to a patient,
means-

   (a)  in the case of a patient to whom an application under sub-section (1)
        of section 13 relates-the medical practitioner who made the reference
        referred to in that application; or

   (b)  in the case of a patient to whom an application under sub-section (1A)
        or (1C) of section 13 relates-the medical practitioner or dental
        practitioner who made the reference referred to in that
        application;''.
