HEALTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICES LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1993 No. 76 of 1993 - SECT 16

16. Section 66 of the Principal Act is amended:

   (a)  by omitting from paragraph (1)(f) "the" (wherever occurring) and
        substituting "a";

   (b)  by omitting from subsections (3) and (4) "the" (first occurring) and
substituting "a particular";
(c) by omitting from subsection (5) the definition of "protected symbol" and
substituting the following definition:

" 'protected symbol' means:

   (a)  the official symbol of the National Acoustics Laboratories, the design
        of which is set out in Schedule 1; or

   (b)  the official symbol of Australian Hearing Services, the design of
        which is set out in Schedule 2;";

   (d)  by omitting from the definition of "protection time" in subsection (5)
        "the" (first occurring) and substituting "a";

   (e)  by omitting paragraph (a) of the definition of "protection time" in
        subsection (5) and substituting the following paragraph:

"(a) in the case of the official symbol of Australian Hearing Services-the
commencement of Part 4 of the Health and Community Services Amendment Act (No.
2) 1993; or".
