HIGHER EDUCATION FUNDING AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1990 No. 122 of 1990 - SECT 16

16. Section 37 of the Principal Act is amended:
(a) by omitting from subsection (1) "subsection (2)" and substituting "this
section";
(b) by omitting from subsection (2) "second semester" and substituting

"last semester to end";

   (c)  by adding at the end the following subsection:

"(3) Where an institution provides a course or courses of study during a
period that does not fully coincide with a period that is otherwise, for the
purposes of this Chapter a semester for the purposes of the institution, that
period is taken for the purposes of this Chapter (other than subsection (2))
to be a separate semester for the purposes of the institution.".
