HIGHER EDUCATION FUNDING AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1992 No. 158 of 1992 - SECT 19

19. Section 24 of the Principal Act is amended:

   (a)  by omitting from subsection (2) "a State in which an institution to
        which this section applies is situated" and substituting "an
        institution to which this section applies";

   (b)  by omitting paragraphs (3)(d), (e) and (f) and substituting the
        following paragraphs:

"(d) in the case of the year 1992 - $4,421,000; and

   (e)  in the case of the year 1993 - $4,461,000; and

   (f)  in the case of the year 1994 - $4,461,000; and

   (g)  in the case of the year 1995 - $4,461,000.";

   (c)  by omitting from subsection (4) "a State under subsection (2) in
        relation to an institution" and substituting "an institution under
        subsection (2)";

   (d)  by omitting paragraph (4)(a);
(e) by omitting from paragraph (4)(b) "the State will ensure that";
(f) by omitting from paragraph (4)(b) "to the State" and substituting "to the
institution";
(g) by omitting from paragraph (4)(c) "the State will ensure that";

   (h)  by omitting from paragraph (4)(c) "not later than 30 September next
        following that year, a statement by a qualified auditor, in the
        approved form" and substituting "not later than 30 June next following
        that year, a statement by a qualified auditor, in an approved form".
