HEALTH LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1986 No. 75 of 1986 - SECT 71

Savings
71. (1) The Medical Services Federal Committee of Inquiry established by the
Minister under section 108 of the Principal Act, being the Committee as
constituted immediately before the commencement of this section shall, subject
to the Principal Act as amended and in force after the commencement of this
section, continue in existence after that commencement as if it had been
established under that section of the Principal Act as amended by this Act and
shall, after that commencement, be known as the Medical Services Federal
Committee of Inquiry (Pharmaceutical Benefits).

(2) The Medical Services State Committee of Inquiry for a State established by
the Minister under section 110 of the Principal Act, being the Committee as
constituted immediately before the commencement of this section shall, subject
to the Principal Act as amended and in force after the commencement of this
section, continue in existence after that commencement as if it had been
established under that section of the Principal Act as amended by this Act and
shall, after that commencement, be known as the Medical Services Committee of
Inquiry (Pharmaceutical Benefits) for the State.

(3) A person who, immediately before the commencement of this section, held
office as the Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Remuneration Tribunal,
or as the Chairman of a Committee established under Part VIII of the Principal
Act, shall, subject to the Principal Act as amended and in force after that
commencement, continue to hold office after that commencement as the
Chairperson of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Remuneration Tribunal, or as the
Chairperson of the Committee, as the case may be.
