HUMAN RIGHTS AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY COMMISSION (TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS) ACT 1986 No. 126 of 1986 - SECT 36

36. Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended-
(a) by omitting from sub-section (1) the definition of "Chairman";
(b) by omitting from sub-section (1) the definition of "Commission" and
substituting the following definition:

"'Commission' means the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission
established by the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission  Act 1986 ;";
(c) by omitting " Human Rights Commission Act 1981" from the definition of
"enactment" in sub-section (1) and substituting " Human Rights and Equal 
Opportunity Commission Act 1986 ";

   (d)  by inserting after the definition of "near relative" in sub-section
        (1) the following definition:

"'President' means President of the Commission;"; and
(e) by omitting " Human Rights Commission Act 1981" from the definition of
"proposed enactment" in sub-section (1) and substituting   "Human Rights and
Equal Opportunity Commission Act 1986 ".
