HUMAN RIGHTS LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1995 No. 59 of 1995 - SECT 4

Transitional provision-validity of current appointments not affected

4. Nothing in the amendments made by this Act affects the validity or
continued effectiveness of an appointment, made before the day on which this
Act receives the Royal Assent, of a person as:

   (a)  the President of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission; or

   (b)  the Human Rights Commissioner, the Race Discrimination Commissioner,
        the Sex Discrimination Commissioner, the Privacy Commissioner or the
        Disability Discrimination Commissioner.
