INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS REFORM ACT 1993 No. 98 of 1993 - SECT 2
Commencement
2.(1) Part 1 commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
(2) Division 1 of Part 7 commences on the day on which this Act receives the
Royal Assent.
(3) However, a proceeding cannot begin in the Industrial Relations Court of
Australia before the commencement of Divisions 2, 3 and 4 of Part 7.
(4) Subject to subsection (5), Divisions 2, 3 and 4 of Part 7 commence on a
day to be fixed by Proclamation.
(5) If those Divisions do not commence under subsection (4) within the period
of 6 months beginning on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent,
they commence on the first day after the end of that period.
(6) Subject to subsection (7), the remaining provisions of this Act commence
on a day or days to be fixed by Proclamation.
(7) If a provision referred to in subsection (6) does not commence under that
subsection within the period of 6 months beginning on the day on which this
Act receives the Royal Assent, it commences on the first day after the end of
that period.
