LANDS ACQUISITION ACT 1989 No. 15 of 1989 - SECT 103

Minister to reconsider offer of compensation and to make final offer
103. (1) On receipt of a notice under paragraph 102 (b), the Minister shall
reconsider the question of the amount of compensation to which the claimant is
entitled and shall, by written notice given to the claimant:

   (a)  make a final offer to the claimant of the amount of compensation to
        which the Minister considers the claimant is entitled in accordance
        with Division 1; and

   (b)  explain to the claimant how the amount of the final offer was arrived
        at.

(2) In reconsidering the amount of compensation to which the claimant is
entitled, the Minister shall have regard to the information included in the
notice in accordance with paragraph 102 (b).

(3) If, within 2 months after the receipt of the notice, the Minister has not
given the claimant a notice under subsection (1), the following provisions
have effect:

   (a)  the notice given to the claimant under subsection 98 (1) shall be
        taken to be a notice given to the claimant under subsection (1) of
        this section on the last day of that period of 2 months;

   (b)  the offer of compensation made in the notice under subsection 98 (1)
        shall be taken to be a final offer of compensation.
