LIVESTOCK DISEASES ACT No. 181, 1978 - SECT 16

16. The compensation payable under this Act in respect of livestock or other
property is an amount equal to the market value of the livestock or other
property immediately before its destruction or death or, if, being livestock,
it was, at that time, infected with a prescribed disease, the market value of
the livestock immediately before it became so infected.
