- (1)
- The Department must arrange for a copy of each legislative instrument
registered under Division 2 of Part 4 to be delivered to each House
of the Parliament to be laid before each House within 6 sitting days of that
House after the registration of the instrument.
- (2)
- For the avoidance of doubt, subsection (1) applies in relation to any
legislative instrument made on or after the commencing day even though the
enabling legislation for legislative instruments of that kind:
(a) may have been enacted or made before the commencing day; and
(b) may have provided that legislative instruments of that kind are not
disallowable.
- (3)
- If a copy of a legislative instrument that is
required to be laid before each House of the Parliament is not so laid
in accordance with this section, the legislative instrument ceases to
have effect immediately after the last day for it to be so laid.
