- (1)
- A maritime security inspector may inspect:
(a) a regulated Australian ship; and
(b) the ship security records for the ship; and
(c) any other document relating to the security of the ship;
for the
purposes of determining whether the ship meets the requirements
necessary for ISSC verification.

- In exercising a power under this section, a maritime security inspector
must not subject a person to greater indignity than is necessary and
reasonable for the exercise of the power.
