NAVIGATION AMENDMENT ACT 1980 No. 87, 1980 - SECT 105

105. After section 423 of the Principal Act the following section is inserted:
Power to exempt Commonwealth ships from provisions of Act

"423A. (1) The Minister may, by instrument in writing, exempt a Commonwealth
ship, or ships included in a class of Commonwealth ships, from the provisions
of this Act or such of the provisions of this Act as are specified in the
exemption.



"(2) An exemption under sub-section (1)-

   (a)  is subject to such conditions (if any) as are specified in the
        exemption; and

   (b)  may be confined to a particular period or to one or more particular
        voyages or operations.".
