NAVIGATION AMENDMENT ACT 1980 No. 87, 1980 - SECT 51

51. Section 88 of the Principal Act is amended by adding at the end thereof
the following sub-section:



"(3) If a contract of sea service with a seaman is terminated, otherwise than
in accordance with the terms of the contract of sea service or the provisions
of this Act, without fault on the seaman's part justifying that termination,
and without his consent, he shall be entitled to receive from his employer, in
addition to any wages he has earned, compensation not being less than one
month's wages, and may recover that compensation as if it were wages duly
earned.".
