Delegation.
34. (1) The Ombudsman may, by instrument in writing, delegate to a Deputy
Ombudsman, to a member of the staff referred to in sub-section 31 (1) or, with
the consent of the Minister, to any other person any of his powers under this
Act, except this power of delegation or the power conferred by section 15, 16,
17, 18 or 19.
(2) A power so delegated may be exercised by the delegate in accordance with
the instrument of delegation.
(3) A delegate shall, upon request by a person affected by the exercise of any
powers delegated to him, produce the instrument of delegation, or a copy of
the instrument, for inspection.
(4) A delegation under this section is revocable at will and does not prevent
the exercise of a power by the Ombudsman.
(5) Powers conferred on a Deputy Ombudsman by virtue of an instrument of
delegation under this section are in addition to, and not in substitution for,
any powers conferred on him by sub-section 23 (2) or (3).
