PETROLEUM AND MINERALS AUTHORITY ACT 1973 No. 43, 1974 - SECT 16

PART III-CONSTITUTION AND MEETINGS OF THE AUTHORITY
16. (1) The Authority-

   (a)  is a body corporate, with perpetual succession;

   (b)  shall have a common seal;

   (c)  may acquire, hold or dispose of real and personal property; and

   (d)  may sue or be sued in its corporate name.

(2) All courts, judges and persons acting judicially shall take judicial
notice of the common seal of the Authority affixed to a document and shall
presume that it was duly affixed.
