PRIMARY INDUSTRIES AND ENERGY LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT (No. 3) 1989 No. 16, 1990 - SECT 2

2. (1) Subject to this section, this Act commences on the day on which it
receives the Royal Assent.

(2) Sections 21 and 23 commence on 1 July 1990.

(3) Subject to subsection (4), Part 2 of this Act (other than sections 21, 23
and 26) commences on a day to be fixed by Proclamation.

(4) If a provision of Part 2 of this Act (other than section 21, 23 or 26)
does not commence under subsection (3) within the period of 6 months beginning
on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent, it commences on the
first day after the end of that period.

(5) Subject to subsection (6), subsection 29 (2) and Part 2 of the Schedule
commence on a day to be fixed by Proclamation.

(6) If subsection 29 (2) and Part 2 of the Schedule do not commence before 1
July 1990, they commence on that day.

(7) Subsection 29 (3) and Part 3 of the Schedule are to be taken to have
commenced on 1 July 1989.
