PETROLEUM (SUBMERGED LANDS) AMENDMENT ACT 1980 No. 80, 1980 - SECT 16

16. Section 31 of the Principal Act is amended-
(a) by omitting from sub-section (1) "The number" and substituting "Subject to
sub-section (2A), the number";

   (b)  by inserting after sub-section (2) the following sub-section: "(2A) An
        application for the renewal of a permit may include, in addition to
        the blocks referred to in sub-section (1), a block that is, or is
        included in, a location and in respect to which the permit is in
        force, or two or more such blocks."; and

   (c)  by omitting from sub-section (5) ", in relation to a proposed
        application for the renewal of a permit, the number calculated in
        accordance with sub-section (1)" and substituting "the maximum number
        of blocks in respect of which an application for renewal of a permit
        may be made in accordance with the preceding provisions".
