PETROLEUM (SUBMERGED LANDS) AMENDMENT ACT 1980 No. 80, 1980 - SECT 18

18. Section 39 of the Principal Act is repealed and the following section
substituted: Recovery of petroleum in adjacent area

"39. A person shall not carry on operations for the recovery of petroleum in
an adjacent area except-

   (a)  under and in accordance with a licence; or

   (b)  as otherwise permitted by this Part.

Penalty: $50,000 or imprisonment for 5 years, or both.".
