(1) Subject to this section, this Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. (2) Part 1 of Schedule 1 commences on the 28th day after the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. (3) Part 3 of Schedule 1 is taken to have commenced on 7 March 2000, immediately after the commencement of the items in Schedule 1 to the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Legislation Amendment Act (No. 1) 2000 that commenced on that day. (4) Part 4 of Schedule 1 commences at the end of the period of 6 months beginning on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. (5) Schedule 3 is taken to have commenced on 30 July 1998.
