PROTECTION OF THE SEA (POWERS OF INTERVENTION) ACT 1981 No. 33, 1981 - SECT 23
Regulations
23. The Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act,
prescribing all matters required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed or
necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to
this Act and, in particular, exempting, either absolutely or subject to
conditions, a prescribed ship, or ships included in a prescribed class of
ships, from all or any of the provisions of this Act and, without limiting the
generality of the foregoing, empowering the Minister to make orders with
respect to any matter for or in relation to which provision may be
made by the regulations by virtue of the definition of "noxious substance" in
sub-section 10 (8).
