- (1)
- The Governor-General may make regulations prescribing matters:
- (a)
- required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed; or
- (b)
- necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect
to this Act.
- (2)
- Without limiting subsection (1), regulations may be made for, or in
relation to, any of the following:
- (a)
- confidentiality of information obtained by persons performing, or
assisting in the performance of, functions under section 33, paragraph
41(1)(c) or paragraph 50(1)(a) or (c);
- (b)
- immunity from civil action in respect of acts or omissions of persons
performing, or assisting in the performance of, functions under section 33,
paragraph 41(1)(c) or paragraph 50(1)(a) or (c);
- (c)
- prescribing penalties for offences against the regulations by way of fines
of up to 10 penalty units.
