QUARANTIME AMENDMENT ACT 1984 No. 19, 1984 - SECT 17

Penalty for importing, &c., contrary to proclamation


17. Section 67 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after sub-section
(1A) the following sub-section:

''(1B) A person shall not refuse or fail to comply with conditions or
requirements set out in a permit granted pursuant to a proclamation made in
accordance with sub-section 13 (2A).

Penalty-

   (a)  if the offender is a natural person-$50,000 or imprisonment for 10
        years, or both; or

   (b)  if the offender is a body corporate-$200,000.''.
