REFERENDUM (MACHINERY PROVISIONS) ACT 1984 No. 44, 1984 - SECT 106

106. The High Court may, on the application of the Commonwealth, of any State,
of the Northern Territory or of the Electoral Commission, order it to be
joined as a party petitioning or responding as the case may be.
