SUPERANNUATION ACT 1990 No. 38, 1990 - SECT 36
Cost of medical examination on entry into Superannuation Scheme
36. Where a person who:
(a) proposes to become, or is, employed by an approved
authority; or
(b) is the proposed appointee to, or the holder of, a statutory
office whose remuneration is paid by an approved authority; or
(c) proposes to become, or is, a member of the staff of an
authority (other than an approved authority) or a body:
(i) whose staff consists of persons appointed or employed under
the Public Service Act 1922; and
(ii) that has been declared, in writing, by the Minister to be an
authority to which this section applies; is required under the Rules to
undergo a medical examination or a test because the person proposes to become,
or becomes, a member of the Superannuation Scheme, the cost of the examination
or test is to be paid by the authority referred to in paragraph (a), (b) or
(c) (as the case may be), and the authority may apply for that purpose any
money under its control.
