SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY RESEARCH LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1986 No. 121, 1986 - SECT 5

5. Section 7 of the Principal Act is repealed and the following section is
substituted: Interpretation

"7. In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears -
'advisory committee' means an advisory committee established under sub-section
24 (1);
'annual operational plan' means an annual operational plan formulated under
sub-section 35 (1);
'appoint' includes re-appoint;
'Board' means the Board of the Organisation;
'Chairperson' means the Chairperson of the Board;
'Chief Executive' means the Chief Executive of the Organisation;
'member' means a member of the Board and includes the Chairperson and the
Chief Executive;
'officer' means an officer of the Organisation;
'Organisation' means the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research
Organisation established under this Act;
'part-time member' means a member of the Board other than the Chief Executive;
'science' includes technology;
'strategic plan' means a strategic plan formulated under sub-section 34 (1).".
