STATES GRANTS (SCHOOLS ASSISTANCE) AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1987 No. 122, 1987 - SECT 28

28. Section 40 of the Principal Act is amended:

   (a)  by inserting after subsection (1B) the following subsection:

"(1C) Subject to subsection 41 (4), the Minister may authorise, under this
section, the payment to a State under this section, by way of financial
assistance to the State in respect of expenditure in connection with special
education provided at or in connection with a non-government school or
non-government centre in the State in respect of the year 1988, of such
amounts as the Minister determines."; and

   (b)  by omitting from subsection (5) "and 1987" and substituting ", 1987
        and 1988".
