STATES GRANTS (TERTIARY EDUCATION ASSISTANCE) AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1979 No. 185, 1979 - SECT 18

18. Section 20 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting from sub-section (1) ''in respect of each year to which
        this Act applies, an amount of $505,000'' and substituting ''in
        respect of a year to which this Act applies, the amount that is, under
        sub-section (1A), the prescribed amount in respect of that year''; and

   (b)  by adding after sub-section (1) the following sub-section:

''(1A) For the purposes of sub-section (1), the amount that is the prescribed
amount in respect of a year to which this Act applies is-

   (a)  in the case of the year 1979-$506,000;

   (b)  in the case of the year 1980-$510,000; and

   (c)  in the case of the year 1981-$510,000.''.
