SNOWY MOUNTAINS HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER ACT 1975 No. 29, 1975 - SECT 4

4. Section 9 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting sub-section (1) and substituting the following
        sub-section:-

''(1) The Commissioner and each Associate Commissioner-

   (a)  shall be appointed for a period not exceeding 7 years; and

   (b)  may be appointed on a full-time basis or on a part-time basis.''; and

   (b)  by omitting sub-section (4) and substituting the following
        sub-section:-

''(4) A person who has attained the age of 65 years shall not be appointed or
re-appointed as the Commissioner, or as an Associate Commissioner, on a
full-time basis and a person shall not be appointed or re-appointed as the
Commissioner, or as an Associate Commissioner, on a full-time basis for a
period that extends beyond the date on which he will attain the age of 65
years.''.
