SEAFARERS REHABILITATION AND COMPENSATION ACT 1992 No. 234, 1992 - SECT 14

14. For the purposes of this Act, damages are taken to have been recovered by
an employee, or by or for the benefit of a dependant of a deceased employee,
when the amount of the damages was paid to, or for the benefit of, the
employee or dependant, as the case may be.
