SEAFARERS REHABILITATION AND COMPENSATION ACT 1992 No. 234, 1992 - SECT 45

Recurrent payments after payment of lump sum
45.(1) If:

   (a)  at any time after a lump sum is paid to an employee under section 44
        for an injury, the injury results in the employee being incapacitated
        for work to the extent that the employee is not able to engage in
        suitable employment; and

   (b)  the incapacity is likely to continue indefinitely; compensation is
        payable to the employee under this section during the period of the
        incapacity.

(2) The amount of compensation is an amount per week equal to the amount per
week that would, but for the payment of the lump sum, have been payable to the
employee under section 31, 33, 34, 35 or 36 as the case may be, for the
incapacity, less the amount per week that was redeemed at the date of the
determination under section 44.
