SOCIAL SECURITY (ADMINISTRATION) ACT 1999 - SECT 223

Evidentiary effect of Secretary's certificate
(1)
For the purposes of paragraph 218(1)(b), a certificate signed by the Secretary is evidence of the matters specified in the certificate.

(2)
Without limiting subsection (1), a certificate may specify:

(a)
a person; and

(b)
an amount that has been paid to the person by way of social security payment because of:

(i)
an act; or
(ii)
a failure; or
(iii)
an omission; and
(c)
the act, failure or omission that caused the amount to be paid.
