SOCIAL SECURITY (ADMINISTRATION) ACT 1999 - SECT 223
Evidentiary effect of Secretary's certificate
- (1)
- For the purposes of paragraph 218(1)(b), a certificate signed by the
Secretary is evidence of the matters specified in the certificate.
- (2)
- Without limiting subsection (1), a certificate may specify:
- (a)
- a person; and
- (b)
- an amount that has been paid to the person by way of social security
payment because of:
- (i)
- an act; or
- (ii)
- a failure; or
- (iii)
- an omission; and
- (c)
- the act, failure or omission that caused the amount to be paid.
