SOCIAL SECURITY (ADMINISTRATION) ACT 1999 - SECT 82
Cancellation for failure to take action to obtain foreign payment
- (1)
- If:
- (a)
- a person who is receiving a social security payment has been given a
notice under subsection 66(2); and
- (b)
- the Secretary is satisfied that the person has not complied with the
requirement of the notice;
the Secretary may determine that the social security payment is to be
cancelled.
- (2)
- If:
- (a)
- a person who is receiving a social security payment has been given a
notice under subsection 66(3); and
- (b)
- the Secretary is satisfied that the person's partner has not complied with
the requirement of the notice;
the Secretary may determine that the social security payment is to be
cancelled.
