SOCIAL SECURITY AND REPATRIATION LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1984 No. 78, 1984 - SECT 76

76. Section 5 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by inserting ''father-in-law,'' after ''step-mother,'' in paragraph
        (a)
of the definition of ''dependant'' in sub-section (1); and

(b) by omitting paragraph (c) of the definition of ''dependant'' in
sub-section (1) and substituting the following paragraph:

''(c) a person of the opposite sex to the employee who, throughout the period
of 3 years immediately before the date of the death of the employee, lived
with the employee as the spouse of that employee on a bona fide domestic basis
although not legally married to that employee,''.
