SOCIAL SECURITY AND REPATRIATION LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1984 No. 78, 1984 - SECT 9

9. Section 17B of the Principal Act is amended by omitting sub-section (2) and
substituting the following sub-section:

''(2) For the purposes of this Part (other than paragraph 17C (3) (b)), where
a person whose usual place of residence is situated in the remote area is
absent from the remote area for a period, the person shall be taken to be
physically present in the remote area during that period or during the first 8
weeks of that period, whichever is the shorter.''.
