SOCIAL SECURITY LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1993 No. 36, 1993 - SECT 29

29. Section 1240 of the Principal Act is amended:

   (a)  by adding at the end of subsection (1) the following Note:

"Note 2: For 'rate of return decision' see subsection 9(1).";

   (b)  by adding at the end the following subsection:

"(4) If:

   (a)  a person who may apply to the Secretary for review of a decision under
        subsection (1) has not so applied; and

   (b)  the person applies to the Social Security Appeals Tribunal for review
        of the decision; the person is taken to apply to the Secretary for
        review of the decision under subsection (1) on the day on which the
        person applies to the Social Security Appeals Tribunal.".
