SAFE WORK AUSTRALIA ACT 2008 (NO. 84, 2009) - SECT 11

Appointment of the Chair

Appointment by Minister

             (1)  The Minister must, by written instrument, appoint a person to be the Chair.

Note:          For re‑appointment, see subsection 33(4A) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 .

Consultation of Ministerial Council

             (2)  The Minister can only make the appointment if the Ministerial Council has been consulted about the appointment of the person.
