SAFE WORK AUSTRALIA ACT 2008 (NO. 84, 2009) - SECT 50

Appointment by Minister

             (1)  The Minister must, by written instrument, appoint the CEO.

Note:          For re‑appointment, see subsection 33(4A) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 .

Full‑time basis

             (2)  The CEO holds office on a full‑time basis.

Period of appointment

             (3)  The CEO holds office for the period specified in his or her instrument of appointment. The period must not exceed 5 years.
