TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND POSTAL SERVICES (TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS) ACT 1989No. 63, 1989 - SECT 4

4. Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended:
(a) by omitting "and" from paragraph (b) of the definition of "Commonwealth
officer";

   (b)  by adding at the end of that definition the following word and
        paragraph:

"; and (d) for the purposes of sections 70, 72, 73, 74, 75 and 76:
       (i)    a person who is an employee of the Australian Postal
Corporation, the Australian Telecommunications Corporation, AUSSAT Pty Ltd or
OTC Limited;
       (ii)   a person who performs services for or on behalf of the
Australian Postal Corporation, the Australian Telecommunications Corporation,
AUSSAT Pty Ltd or OTC Limited; and
      (iii)   an employee of a person who performs services for or of
behalf of the Australian Postal Corporation, the Australian Telecommunications
Corporation, AUSSAT Pty Ltd or OTC Limited;";
(c) by adding ", and includes AUSSAT Pty Ltd and OTC Limited" at the end of
the definition of "public authority under the Commonwealth;".
