TAXATION LAWS AMENDMENT ACT (NO. 6) 1999 NO. 54, 1999 - SCHEDULE 7--Youth

Income Tax Assessment Act 1936

1 Subsection 6(1) (at the end of paragraph (b) of the definition of Commonwealth education or training payment)

Add:

or (v) the scheme known as youth allowance; or

(vi) the scheme known as austudy payment;

2 After subparagraph 52-145(1)(b)(iii)

Insert:

or (iv) the scheme known as youth allowance; or

(v) the scheme known as austudy payment;

The amendments made by this Schedule apply to assessments for the 1998-99 income year and later income years.
