TRANSFER OF PRISONERS ACT 1983 NO. 95 OF 1983 - SECT 7
Revocation of welfare transfer orders
7. (1) Where a welfare transfer order has been made in respect of a
Commonwealth prisoner, the Attorney-General-
(a) may, of his own motion; and
(b) shall, upon written request to do so being made to him by the
prisoner,
by order in writing served, at any time before the commencement of the
execution of that transfer order, upon the Superintendent or other officer in
charge of the prison in which the prisoner is detained, revoke that transfer
order.
(2) In exercising his powers under sub-section (1) to revoke, of his own
motion, an order for the transfer of a prisoner, the Attorney-General shall
have regard to all matters that he considers relevant, including, but without
limiting the generality of the foregoing-
(a) the administration of justice; and
(b) the welfare of the prisoner.
