(1) Subject to this section, this Act commences on the 28th day after the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. (2) Part 2, and Division 2 of Part 3, of Schedule 1 commence:

(a)

at the end of the period of 4 months beginning at the commencement of Part 1 of Schedule 1; or

(b)

if:

(i)

a longer period is specified in the regulations; and

(ii)

that longer period ends at or before the end of the period of 6 months beginning at the commencement of Part 1 of Schedule 1;

at the end of that longer period.

(3) The Governor-General may make regulations for the purposes of paragraph (2)(b).
