WHEAT MARKETING ACT 1984 NO. 141 OF 1984 - SECT 7

Reserves
7. (1) The Board may, in accordance with the accounting principles generally
applied in commercial practice, establish and maintain reserve accounts for
the purpose of facilitating the future performance of its functions.

(2) Without limiting the generality of sub-section (1), the Board may deduct
amounts from the proceeds of the disposal of wheat acquired by the Board under
this Act or a State Act and pay the amounts so deducted into an account
established pursuant to sub-section (1).

(3) If moneys standing to the credit of an account established pursuant to
sub-section (1) are no longer required for the purposes for which the account
was established, the Board shall apply those moneys for the benefit of the
wheat industry in such manner as is approved by the Minister.
