WILDLIFE PROTECTION (REGULATION OF EXPORTS AND IMPORTS) AMENDMENT ACT 1986 No. 120 of 1986 - SECT 28
28. After section 71 of the Principal Act the following section is inserted:
Rescuing goods
"71A. (1) A person who -
(a) rescues any goods that have been, or are about to be, seized under
this Act; or
(b) staves, breaks or destroys any goods, or destroys any documents
relating to, any goods to prevent the seizure of goods, the securing
of goods, or the proof of any offence under this Act, is guilty of an
offence punishable upon conviction by a fine not exceeding $5,000 or
imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years.
"(2) In this section, 'goods' includes vehicles, vessels, aircraft, platforms,
specimens and documents.".
